Hi Kriz, be assured you are in our little church's prayers. God knows we can't do anything without His saving, cleansing power. That's why Jesus had to pay the penalty we deserved. But He conquered death, and invites us to share His victory over our self centred and selfish nature! If we make Him Lord of our lives He does the changing- we can't do it on our own. Read Romans ch 6&7- Paul, one of God's most holy servants knows this struggle well. But we can't escape the consequences of what we do. 2 Samuel ch11&12- look at King David's sin. Wow- this is the man God describes as being after His own heart. Can God forgive evil behaviour like that, that hurts, even kills others? God does forgive the repentent David, but the horrible consequences don't just go away. The Psalms show his journey through fear, depression and joy. They are so comforting. David's life does go on, and his depression does lift. He gets to experience joy in the Lord again. I hope you are involved in a christian church where you can seek the support and counsel of christian friends. Immerse yourself in the Bible and let God speak to you through His Word.
